There is a reason behind naming it. It got its name because its oil and fuel tanks are mounted on the bicycle frame. There are only 12 such in the world. A 1907 strap tank sold for $715,000 at the time. It is noteworthy that most of the original parts are still present in this bike. Motor cycle division manager at Mecum Auctions, Grace Arnold, stated that they marketed the bike well.
