If you know this, you will understand why it is said that old is gold. A 1908 strap tank Harley Davidson bike fetches a whopping price at auction. Last month, an auction held by Mecum Auctions in Las Vegas fetched $9,35,000 for this vintage bicycle-like bike. 7.72 crore rupees in Indian currency. The name of this bike is Strap Tank. There is a reason behind naming it.

It got its name because its oil and fuel tanks are mounted on the bicycle frame. There are only 12 such in the world. A 1907 strap tank sold for $715,000 at the time. It is noteworthy that most of the original parts are still present in this bike. Motor cycle division manager at Mecum Auctions, Grace Arnold, stated that they marketed the bike well.
